What makes it different
Every other binder on this shelf is built for you, the person who already knows everything. This one is built for the day you cannot say it, so every log page carries the date, the time, and who wrote the row.
What is inside
- Two go pages, the same sheet twice, because one is meant to leave: one for the front of the binder, one for the fridge, the go bag or the inside of the front door
- The go page holds what somebody needs in the first ten minutes, and it has a date and an initial box, because a go page listing a medicine stopped in March is worse than no go page
- Twenty log pages, all built the same way, with a third column no rival on this shelf prints: who wrote the row
- Appointments, medication, symptoms, calls and decisions, hospital visits, day notes, incidents, and money and miles
- Three month summaries, the page you hand over, with the page numbers it came from
- A refill pack, included as its own file: the five pages that run out
Who it is for
- Anyone looking after a parent in the United States
- Families where more than one person gives care, and the notes have to agree
- Anyone who has had to explain a medication list over the phone
What it does not do
- It is not medical advice. It records what is, and it never says what should be done about it. No doses, no warning signs, no instructions for an emergency.
- It never asks you to copy out a document. The legal and financial pages record where the original is kept and who to ask, not what it says.
- It does not add up, and it makes no claim about what any hospital, insurer, court or agency will accept.
